A recent search on Match.com brought up more than 90 profiles with such lines as: "I want an opposite. A yin to my yang," or "You know that woman who is the first person on the dance floor at every party? That's me." They weren't even from real people. They were cribbed from sample profiles posted online at E-Cyrano.com by dating coach and profile writer Evan Marc Katz. "It just seems so short-sighted," says Mr. Katz, of Los Angeles. "Everybody steals the same lines so they are not original anymore." The Internet makes plagiarism anonymous and easy.
Woman denies sex-on-air conditioner accusation
It was Sunday morning, and Arianna Scudelletti says she was simply having a drink with a male friend outside her grandmother's Naples home before walking down to the beach. Naples police, on the other hand, say it was a lot more risqué than that. Scudelletti, of Miami, and her friend Victor Manuael Martes, 24, of Miami Beach, were arrested Sunday morning and charged with disorderly conduct after a man who drove by the home with two children alerted Naples police to two people having sex on an air conditioner, according to arrest reports. Police officers who responded to the scene reported finding both Scudelletti and Martes in “different stages of undress." She said she was wearing bikini shorts and a T-shirt. “We were sitting there talking. We had a bottle of vodka," Scudelletti said in a jail interview Monday night.
Pentax unveils K20D, K200D digital SLRs
Pentax joined in the slew of updates for the PMA photo expo this afternoon with updates to its K-series digital SLRs. Looking to earn the same reputation as its larger rivals, the company's flagship K20D jumps from 10.1 to 14.6 megapixels compared to the older K10D but also switches to a new CMOS sensor; this eliminates much of the noise that appears with conventional CCD sensors at mid-to-high ISO sensitivity levels used for shooting in low light, the camera maker explains. It also extends that ISO range to 6400 and supplies hardware image stabilization through the body rather than the lens. The K20D also allows beginners or those caught in unusual shooting positions to compose a shot with a live preview on the 2.7-inch LCD rather than having to use the optical viewfinder, as with most digital SLRs.

However, Honda points out creating hydrogen fuel releases 60 percent less CO2 than gas cars generate in a wheel-to-well comparison. And Honda is experimenting with producing hydrogen fuel through solar and wind-generated means -- a method that could make the Clarity's total carbon footprint disappear.
Macworld Expo draws 475 companies to annual event
IDG World Expo on Tuesday aid that its Macworld Conference & Expo drew 10 percent more attendees than last year and it hosted 475 companies in San Francisco's Moscone Center. “Macworld has truly become a central place where attendees can learn, network and do business every year," said Paul Kent, vice president, IDG World Expo. “Our goal is to make each show better than the last, and we're thrilled that we achieved that goal with this year's event." In addition to the exhibits and learning that goes on at Macworld Expo, there was also a lot of news from the show. Countless new products for the iPod, iPhone and Mac were released over the four-day event and Macworld magazine crowned its winners for the Best of Show, too. .
